DELTA-DC® 4211 is a wetting and dispersing additive for solvent-based and solvent-free coatings and composite.
DELTA-DC® 4211 is suitable for stabilizing inorganic pigments and extenders and strongly reduces mill-base viscosity.
DELTA-DC® 4211 is suitable for coatings and composite.
Composition :Acidic polyether
Density :ca. 1.14 g/cm3
Appearance :Cloudy brownish liquid
Acid value :170-190 mg KOH/g
Active ingredients :100%
Applications and usage:
DELTA-DC® 4211 is a conventional dispersant for solvent-based coatings to improve pigment wetting, reduce the dispersion time and increase gloss and flow. It is particularly suitable for stabilizing titanium dioxide and all kinds of extenders. DELTA-DC® 4211 strongly reduces mill-base viscosity allowing high pigment and filler loadings.
DELTA-DC® 4211 is particularly suitable for car putties (based on unsaturated polyester resin) as well as solvent-free epoxies and polyurethanes.
DELTA-DC® 4211 should be added prior to the dispersion/grinding process.
0.5-2.0% (delivery form) on TiO2, inorganic pigments and extenders
DELTA-DC® 4211 is an efficient wetting and dispersing agent for inorganic fillers, especially CaCO3 and ATH in unsaturated polyester resin systems. This results in:
● Improved wetting and incorporation of extenders
● Reduced viscosity of the paste/compound
● Increased filler and extender load
DELTA-DC® 4211 is suited for filled unsaturated polyester systems (sheet and bulk moulding compounds, gelcoats and putties) or combination of polystyrene, polyvinylacetate and styrene- butadiene copolymers (e.g. LS- or LP-formulations).
DELTA-DC® 4211 is directly added to the unsaturated polyester resin while stirring prior to the addition of the extenders.
0.5-2.0% (delivery form) on extenders
Safety and Handling:
DELTA-DC® 4211 should be handled in accordance with good industrial practice. Detailed information can be found in the Safety Data Sheet.
DELTA-DC® 4211 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The production date is indicated on the container.
50 kg and 200 kg non-returnable metallic containers.
